Indeed, linking it to their need, I should keep that on a digital post-it and carry it around just so I remember it at any given moment.

thank you!Inge (Ignatia) de Waardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03170929012404880320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-284297226882099213.post-22918155063635012682007-12-04T02:02:00.000-08:002007-12-04T02:02:00.000-08:00Hi Inge,My experience so far has been that I get m...Hi Inge,
My experience so far has been that I get most success by presenting social tools that are immediately functional for them. One example is del.icio.us which they can use for sharing bookmarks within their specific scientific or educational domain. Another interesting tool for scientists is the Zotero-plugin for Firefoz, or CiteULike, both referencing tools.
Moreover, the use of Netvibes, Pageflakes or iGoogle is particularly interesting for scientists who get their information from multiple online sources.
Once they get going with these, I noticed that their interest broadened automatically at a later stage.
StevenSteven Verjanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03347497151486271835noreply@blogger.com
